I'm guessing like me, you're neither Jewish or African / Indian / Aboriginal whatever....it was an obvious sleight with the intent to harass. The same effect would have been generated by advertising for GLF: No Rednecks or White Trash...maybe that would have hit a bit closer to the bone.

But the truth being said is that it is a violation of the EULA and is wrong, however so is the name "I Flock her" which is degradeing to woman, but Anet seems to allow those names and many others. So if you are to enforce something, then be consistant for all, not just one side.

I don't really care about racism and where it's said/who it offends, or any words for that matter, only actions.

But it's against game rules, so he deserves whatever he gets ban wise.

since the game is free to play they don't actively take care of stuff like that...it requires players reporting of it...I'm sure if names such as that were reported action would be taken...but people let it slide unfortunately.

After chatting with a former guildy about this, he immediately recognized the IGN of this person. Seems as if it's not the first time that he's displayed this type of behavior.

Around this time last year, our alliance WHOA, was going after the OoO alliance to take over House Zu Heltzer. This persons guild was in the OoO alliance. It just so happened that our alliance leader was African American. On a nightly basis, he would tell us of how this person and the rest of his guild would drop "N-Bombs" for hours on end into his PM.

Our ally leader reported this to Anet but they did nothing about it, telling him to turn on chat filter.

So for all the people that want to comment that it's "funny" or it's "no big deal", or "he can party with anyone he wants to", try putting yourself in that alliance leaders' shoes. How would you like it if 30 or 40 people were constantly harassing you on a nightly basis. Doesn't seem so funny when you're the one being victimized.

Could of care less what was said, remember the saying, "Sticks and stones will break my bones, but names will never hurt me." Call me what you will, but in the end it is your opinion and since we will never meet, really who the hell cares what is said. In all it makes a good conversation piece, beside I like to play the devil sometimes.

ah but over the internet unless you're on a video feed it's clearly nearly impossible to tell the race or religion of a person simply from what they are typing....but it is clearly easy to tell when the word "idiot" applies...several of them in this thread...
